3DS preview reactions from Nintendo NA/Europe events

Gamespot was one of the lucky members of media who got to attend Nintendo's big 3DS reveal in New York and Amsterda. They're not mincing any words as they share with us what they thought about Nintendo's new handheld.

Of course, these are just their opinions. What worked for them may or not work for you, and vice versa. So far though, it's looking all good. The 3DS officially hits the market in March for NA and Europe.

Not impressed but I'll be wanting to own one, but just in a few months.

The price is higher than I expected.

250 USD = 156 GBP

It's such b.s. to price it at 220 GBP or 230 GBP.

If you think it's BS then start voting away some of those import taxes that are hiking up the price. You think Nintendo gets 100% of that purchase price? You'd be extremely wrong. Cost of materials going into your country are going up at an alarming rate. As is most places but some are worse then others.

Most of the price markup for Europe is Nintendo, Sony, MS, being greedy. They know they can sell more there for a higher price. Import taxes only make up a small portion of the markup and are a scapegoat for greedy pricing.

Sony DID sue Lik Sang out of business for selling Japanese PSPs to Europe for this reason. THINK before you post.

Oh yes, everyone knows Gamespot is an unbiased site.

Didn't they fire one of their senior reviewers because he gave kayne and lynch a bad review?
