seems like a lackluster launch lineup in my book

I agree...
Prof. Layton is pretty much the only game I would probably get eventually and not even that is an "OMG I NEED TO GET THIS DAMN GAME ASAP!"-title. I could wait for that and probably would.

Street Fighter and Puzzle Bobble would be "maybe I'll get those one day"-titles for me and the other games I don't care about at all.

This makes it look far less painful that I can't afford it for quite a while, anyway. Because it looks that, at first, I won't even be missing out on much.

And who knows when Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil, Paper Mario, OoT 3D are actually out; possible delays included.

aside from kid icarus, there is nothing original, just rehashes of previously released games

The launch lineup has 2 remakes of N64 games? I thought the regular DS was supposed to have the power of a N64.
If they remake anything, it should be gamecube titles.

I remember when I bought the original DS the games were horrible for the first year. The mario 64 remake was the only game I had for a long time.

That wouldn't be much of a remake then, more of a port. The point of remakes is to get an old classic and revamp them with modern tech. This makes complete sense.

Shut up.

Hopefully by the time it hits Europe we'll see some better titles,
To be honest, with the cost of the system and the, surely, premium cost of games, I'll be only buying two, and at the mo they'll be Zelda and Pilotwings.
Maybe I'll push for Ridge Racer as well, if it's up to the PSP standard.
