$2.32 Million of Black Nintendo DS Lite Gone Missing

A large shipment containing loads of black DS lites and piles of DS games has gone missing somewhere in Hong Kong. Instead of making it to Europe where the black Lites are launching, the cargo carrier carrying an estimated $2.32 Million USD is nowhere to be accounted for. Some believe that these DS lites are making their way onto Hong Kong's black market, which suggests that the carrier was hijacked. Hong Kong police are offering a reward around $128,000 for anyone who can help catch the culprits. Only black Nintendo DS Lite units are going to be available in Europe after June 23rd, so this loss couldn't have come at a worse time.

I heard through the grapevine that some of these iso loaders and other hacks are in fact being developed by an underground team from Nintendo. Directly cutting in to the intellectual properties and $$ of Sony's profits.

Nintendo didnt really think that they could get away with that crap. Sony knows how to play 'dirty' too.

FOUND ONE! I am currently in Hong Kong. I went to an electronics store with a white US DS Box in the window. When I asked for a black unit, the clerk told me thay heve them but would not show it to me. The asking price was $1500 Hong Kong Dollars. (Roughly $200 US). They may have been willing to negotiate a bit on the price but would not sell for $975HKD ($130 US). I did not actually see for myself but it seems that the rumors are true. (I am going to look for a cheaper one (heh heh)

I just returned from a shady Hong Kong market where I actually saw a BLACK DS Lite. The asking price was $1250 HKD. Ordinary DS Lites were $1070 HKD. I'm still waiting to find it cheaper. Perhaps in China...
