By definition, a strong software line-up is a list of games that have the best chance of reaching the broadest consumer base in order to strengthen the future influence of the particular device. I'd say that this isn't bad. Of course, I'd like to see more "hardcore" games on this list, stuff like Metal Gear Solid and the like, but I only have so much money to spend.
Let's look at it this way: Let's assume you're a day one customer. Nintendo doesn't expect you to buy each and every title, they probably expect at most that you'll buy three games, but let's be safe and assume you're buying 1-2 games.
I think a day one customer (that is, someone who really likes the system or is a die-hard Nintendo fan) would be hard-pressed to find that there weren't at least two games they'd want.
For me, personally, I'd go with SSFIV3D and Nintendog+Cats, no question. The previous versions of these games were both fantastic and provided more than their fare share of entertainment value.
That's my two cents.

I was looking forward Kid Icarus, but current screenshots look like a PSP game.

As always, your "opinion" is proven to be worthless:
http://kotaku.com/#!5772207/so-what-was-the-most-popular-3ds-launch-game
And I quote...
"As for the most popular game, that honour went to Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, which shifted 117,589 copies."
So while YOU think it's lame, the rest of the world does not. It just so happens to be the #1 selling launch title in Japan.
