Blacklight won't reuse any of the resources in Tango Down. Weapons, items, levels, and everything else will be all new. One new addition is the introduction of drivable mechs, one of which can be seen in the image below.

 

Long also revealed that the sequel will feature a large number of improvements based on the feedback they got regarding Blacklight: Tango Down. The sequel will be built using the latest version of Epic's Unreal Engine.

A release date, however, has yet to be confirmed. A publisher hasn't been announced yet either. Tango Down, which was released last year on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, was published by Ignition Entertainment.
