The Patapon 3 demo will be available on PSN on July 6th. If you really can't wait a few days to get your drums on, you can actually start playing it now. Only if you don't mind Japanese text, that is.

The game's Japanese demo is already live on its own official SCEJ website here. Click the icon on the top to download it then unzip the archive to “PSP\GAME\NPJG90088”. You can also spread it to your friends for some adhoc multiplayer fun.

Patapon 3 officially launches in North America on September 4th.

You do realize the Japanese demo has been available since June 23rd?

Having played it (only once, because I got pissed off I couldn't save my Level 8 Kibapon) the right-to-left movement isn't that confusing. It's surprising the first time to play in that movement, but it's nothing that hinders your playing.

I'm more confused with all the skill tree and "1-ups" in-game, and the Japanese explanations don't help much ;)

QJ, not only can you download the Patapon 3 Japanese demo since weeks ago, you've already posted the exact same news a week or so ago.

The 23rd was the official release date, but I'm pretty sure it leaked around the 17th.

Sadly, since everybody on the site runs CFW, hardly anybody can play it as it requires 6.20CFW.
