While we wait for a concrete release date of the Parasite Eve spin-off, The 3rd Birthday, it looks like Square Enix is already thinking of extending the franchise to the PS3, that is, if the PSP title will sell as well as its predecessors. Speaking to VideoGamer.com at Gamescom, famed Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase says:
"The team had a lot of experience and knew a lot about making a game for PSP which is why we chose PSP as the platform for this game. But if this game turns out to be a success then we’d be looking at extending the franchise into PS3."
Sounds like a good deal to me.

I´d much rather purchase a PSP emulator for my PS3 since in all honesty I won´t play it on my PSP.
