Yoshinori expresses his thoughts on Inafune's resignation

Shortly after Keiji Inafune announced to the world his resignation from Capcom, many people have come to give their two cents on the matter, including theories on why he left the very company he's built his name in. Expectedly, people are also curious as to what his colleagues have to say on the matter. Yoshinori Ono is no exception.

Because Ono-san frequently interacts with the fans on his Twitter page, it is inevitable that he be the one fielded with questions regarding his colleague's resignation. Finally, he's broken his silence on the matter, and his sadness is palpable.

Asked what his thoughts were on Inafune's resignation, he said, "I feel sorry indeed to have missed Inafune-san... I couldn't understood his mind."

Also: "I'm not too keen on working just now. I want rest for a while. RT@JoeAmoudi: After Inafune'sDeparture fromCapcom, u are company's last hope."

Faced with the query on what will happen to the company's fighting game plans now that Inafune's out, he said, "He's very understanding about fighting game. it's answer. ;( "

While Inafune is undeniably a huge loss to the company, not all is lost as we still have someone like Yoshinori Ono to keep us going. Although I'd have to admit that "I want rest for a while" statement of his is kind of worrisome in light of the recent events.
