Yoichi Wada wants more multiplayer in Square Enix games |

Square Enix may traditionally be a stronghold for RPGs, but they're no stranger to adding multiplayer elements into their games, and they've done a pretty good job of it from recent releases. Based from what Yoichi Wada told Forbes, we can expect more multiplayer action from their games from here on out.

Like controllable Ravagers?
“In all of the games we will be releasing going forward, some kind of multiplayer element will be incorporated one way or another,” said the Square Enix president. "What we will encourage them to do is to incorporate some kind of multiplayer element even in single player games."
Dragon Quest IX has its Tag Mode, Birth by Sleep supports ad-hoc, so even if a game is mostly single-player, Square Enix will find some way to add a multiplayer component into it. That said, we have Versus XIII, The 3rd Birthday, and a slew of Kingdom Hearts titles on the way, and seeing as Wada said "all of the games", we could be looking at ad-hocs and online modes for these titles.

Even amazing games like uncharted 2 suffer from adding multi-player. They cover it up well, but seriously, drake wasn't alone during that entire time ?
Lot's of stories are great because of an individuals triumph, and not always having a sidekick in case someone else wants to join in....
I am not even going to get into tagged on multi-player BS that has nothing to really do with the game....

Still they would either have to skip those levels, or just magically make the second player appear....just clarifying for the flamers...
