There are a lot of games in the genre, but when it comes to an engaging shooting experience, the Fallout series is one name that you shouldn't ignore. The stakes are higher in Fallout: New Vegas, and what better place is there to have big stakes than Sin City? Well, what's left of it at least. Senior designer Chris Avellone takes the spotlight once again as he talks about the new features you can expect in the next Fallout.

Fallout: New Vegas comes out October 19th in North America, and on the 22nd for Europe.

Yeah other than gun-play being an improvement over Fallout 3, and dialog options that resemble Fallout 1/2 (which is an improvement in my opinion) the game seems to be pretty similar. Hopefully Obsidian gets to realize all their lost dreams and ideas the they wanted to include in the original Fallout 3 (Van Buren) before Black Isle Studios got closed down. Lookin' forward to this one a lot!

And just like Fallout 3, Crap! What sounds like a great concept just looks awful. The mechanics of Fallout are just so far behind all the other games out there today.
