A couple of new gameplay videos from The 3rd Birthday have been released. Both are pretty short, but they do serve to convey what happens when players use two of the game's combat mechanics: Crossfire and Liberation.

The Crossfire mechanic lets you and a nearby ally concentrate your fire on an enemy. The Liberation, on the other hand, comes across as a super mode where Aya does more damage.

The 3rd Birthday comes out exclusive on the Sony PSP on December 22 in Japan. 2011 releases have been penciled in for both North America and Europe.

well, that's it for me. The only reason I was still following this MGS/RE rip off was becasue I was hoping that the Liberation gauge would have functioned like Aya's Liberation in PE1, but now I know that SE seriously has no interest in bringing back the awesome of the original. RIP Parasite Eve.
