my Armored Core replacement since they started ruining the series starting with AC4. Front Mission may not look very visually appealing but it does look quite fun. Definitely looking forward to it.

This is a poor attempt to grab the die hard fans of the Armored Core series as well as new gamers to a less unique game. AC4 looks tremendously better than this as well as having a more "robust" customization system. It may be a decent game but for mech games there really seems to be no reason to move from the armored core series to a slightly slower AC4 with a tad of japanese mech police thrown on top.

Couldn't agree more, Zane.

If Armored Core 5 would release the same time FM: Evolved did, and advertised equally, I think Armored Core 5 would stomp the daylights out of it.

Square-Enix just wants to get their smug faces into the Mech scene, but they've got a lot to learn about pulling it off right.

I mean, look at the video and how the targeting system works. Anyone else reminded of a crippled Fire Control System (FCS)?

Don't get me wrong, I'll be playing FM: Evolved at some point, but this game seems more like a colossal gimmick, deserving of a rental or a borrowing-venture before deciding whether or not it actually deserves some investment.

# Decent, but not how I remember Front MissionAzatoth 2010-06-28 19:40
I wish they would've made a new game in the strategy rpg genre that they used to do. This looks okay, but it is a bit more of an AC clone than anything new.
