Dante's Inferno was a relatively successful game in terms of critical and commercial reception, so it's probably no surprise that signs are pointing towards a possible sequel from Visceral Games.

 

The developer has started looking for a level designer for "the sequel to a major new IP at the award-winning Visceral Games." This new project is said to "set new quality standards and make the franchise the world-leader in the action/melee-combat genre."

 

Sounds like Dante's Inferno to me.

in malee action game they have high hopes for a god of war rip off though they paid for the rights........at best it can only be the shadow Kratos whom is already at the top of mount Olympus....love to see them try to top that........(sighs) what wasteful thinking :sad:

I hope so. I really liked the first game. Dante was hot in nude. :) Anyway, its fun and very enjoyment but woman's breast and Satan the devil's penis wasnt necessarily, thought.

Could it be Dead Space 2? They're also bringing it to PSP and it features some (a little bit of) melee combat.
