Certainly good news to start the week, isn't it? Just last week, the long-awaited and much-demanded Xenogears finally made its way to the US Store's PSOne Classics archive. On the next PlayStation Store update, you can look forward to yet another Squaresoft great to keep you company.
Starting tomorrow, Vagrant Story will be available through the US PlayStation Store. The game follows the story of the Riskbreaker, Ashley Riot, and his dungeon-after-dungeon adventure in Leá Monde. Plots and conspiracies unfold throughout the game, spaced between sizable intervals of dungeon crawling.

The game features a pretty deep crafting system that allows you to gather spoils and parts to forge into formidable weapons and equipment. These will develop affinities and properties depending on the enemies you slay. In battle, you make use of timing-based Risk techniques as well as spells that you can learn from Grimoires.
According to the game's PR description:
Adventure into a world of unparalleled depth and danger with SquareSoft’s Vagrant Story. In this sweeping dungeon-crawling epic you play as Ashley Riot, a young assassin and spy for the organization known as Riskbreakers. Your goal is to unravel a deep and twisted plot and come to terms with the recent death of your wife and child. If this sounds a bit too cerebral never fear. Your path to recapturing your sense of humanity hinges on the destruction of countless vicious monsters and the exploration of dark and dangerous dungeons.
Vagrant Story won't be getting the usual big name price tag of ten dollars - this one's yours for just US$ 5.99. It'll be the only PSOne Classic title on tomorrow's update, but there are other pickings as well.
