It looks like Sony's plans to put Nathan Drake on the silver screen by next year have hit a snag. David O. Russell, the director Sony was courting for the Uncharted movie, has reportedly turned down the company's offers.
The LA Times reports that plans fell through after both parties couldn't come to terms regarding the movie, resulting in a trip for the producers back to the drawing board. Sources say Sony is now looking for another director as well as one or two stars to attach to the project.
Sony originally wanted to have the movie in theaters by as early as next year. The company also had plans to fast-track it to a Summer 2011 release.

yeah, I watched the cut scenes in uncharted 2 from start to finish in one go yesterday (it took about an hour and a half as well) its a brilliant story as well as audio and graphics being top-notch, all they would have to do is make them all fit together properly (where gameplay is on the games). and it would be cheaper than a movie to make.
