Tron Evolution dated, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions getting Collector's Edition

Disney's Tron: Legacy film will be in theaters this December 17th, but before that you'll be able to play the tie-in game, Tron: Evolution. And if you spring for the special edition, you'll even be able to bring your own toy lightcycle with you to the movies, if that's your thing.

The Propaganda-developed vehicular combat game will hit stores on December 7. That date is for all of the game's different console versions -- PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PSP, DS, and Wii. Evolution ties up the story from the original Tron to the one in Legacy, hence the earlier release.

Evolution's PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are also getting a Collector's Edition, which comes with a lightcycle model made by Sideshow Collectibles and a special casing that holds both the model and the game. If you want it, you'll have to shell out some big bucks fr it. US$ 129.99, to be exact.

Nice looking toy.

For the spoiled child or arrested adult who would want and could afford such things.

Or the worlds biggest tron fan.

I hope the game is good.
It should be.

There are enough templates including the other tron games for there to be no reason to blow it outside of the most incompetent hands.

I've got a strong suspicion that the movie will be as silly as the first one though except without the nostalgia and progressive efx technology.

But with more and louder explosions.
And maybe the black eyed peas.
