Top Cow clearing up rights issues for The Darkness sequel |
Listed in: PS3, Xbox 360 Tags: Starbreeze

Top Cow Productions has been hinting at a sequel to The Darkness for a while now, but it seems we may still have to wait a little longer until we hear anything concrete. The comic book company is currently in the process of clearing up any rights issues so the sequel can be given the green light.
"There are certain rights issues that we needed to clear up in order to move ahead with The Darkness 2. Those are getting cleared up. While there are no specific plans, it is definitely that is still on all of our minds," Top Cow sales and marketing director Atom! Freeman told Joystiq.
Although they're still holding off on official announcements, Freeman did confirm that they plan to do a sequel.
"Absolutely," he said. "We loved the game. The fans loved the game. There's no reason to not do another one. Just making sure that all of our ducks are in a row so that we can begin that process."
Last year, The Darkness developer Starbreeze was said to be out of the running when it comes to the sequel's development. There is still no info on who will step into that role.
