Tony Hawk: Shred site now live, European release date confirmed

Activision has unveiled the official website for Tony Hawk: Shred, the next entry in the long line of Tony Hawk skating games. They've also announced an official European release date along with it.

 

Tony Hawk: Shred will hit retail in Europe on October 29th. It'll be available on all three seventh-gen home consoles: PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. The press release doesn't mention a US date, but retailers have it pegged for the 26th.

 

You can check out the website here. There you can find some training videos for both skate and snowboard tricks, character profiles, and even a preemptive FAQ if you ever run into any problems with the game.

I guess they're making doubly sure that people know how to use the skateboard peripheral for this game.

Well... I guess I should Tony Hawk some credit. He said his previous abortion of a game wouldn't be the only time we saw the the board peripheral.

Hopefully, more bad reviews and awful sales numbers guarantee this will be the last time this awful idea sees the light of day.

Screw real, i want fun. If i wanted a real skating game, i'd go outside.
I wanna play classic hawk on a board...

Don't get me wrong, I want fun too. Real skateboarding games like... errr... Skate, are overrated. But I want to have fun that doesn't involve some add on, if I did I'd buy an old cabinet of the arcade game "Top Skater"
