Three new Kingdom Hearts games already in the works

While were still waiting for the summer release of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, it looks like Tetsuya Nomura is already brewing not one, but three new Kingdom Hearts games.

In an interview featured in Japan's Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Ultimania, the series ceator revealed that Kingdom Hearts III is already on its conceptual stages of development but will still dependent on the outcome Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which he is also directing.

Nomura also confirmed that two additional games is already in development, with one scheduled to be released this year, The other title is planned for 2011 or beyond and is said to feature multiple main characters. In addition, he also reiterated the various improvements of the English release of Birth by Sleep and mentioned that the series will not end with Kingdom Hearts III.

Could you be a little more specific Ryan F., about what consoles you are referring to when you say that "KH on consoles would be awesome."

You may or may not be aware that there are KH games on PS2 (Three of them, if you count the remix as well). There is even a KH game for the Game Boy Advance.

I'm not sure if you have had the privilege to play a KH game before, and even if you had your statement sounds a bit odd and off, cause you make it sound like there has been no KH game out for any console before you typed out your news article.

It's the only Disney game that sells. Can you blame 'em? There's also plenty of demand for more. Let 'em milk it. If you were a part of SE or Dis, then you'd want it milked too.

i dont want to keep this up and stain the beauty of the series and whatnot....

that is unless the other 2 unannounced KH titles is its own story and has VERY little to do with the other KH titles...

Perhaps like what MGSRising is doing (that is if it is going to be a whole new story, barely pertaining to the rest of the series)

the games arent losing wat makes them good. they are still some of the best RPGs around. SE doesnt fuck around with shit like this. i say lets get the franchise going. and keep it going. but please keep the 3rd game in the playstation.

Kh1 = awesome
KH2 = Awesomer
KH3 = awesomest probably

but chain of memories = meh and mediocre
341/4 days = good + repetitive = mediocre
birth by sleep = awesome

be careful what you say, cause anything spinoff (gba + ds) has proven itself of lesser quality.

Okay I know some people hate kingdom hearts, but do not put bad things on here about it! Kingdom Hearts is a fun game that can be enjoyed for hours. This is awesome news, I mean yeah, playing the first one Freshman year the story might have been too much to wrap my head around, but they really fleshed it out and made it something worthwhile and fantastic. I can't wait to see what comes next! That, and they have really been working to make the combat less repetitive and more immersive and nuanced, which they're experimenting with in BBS, so here's to awesome games ahead, WOO!

Lame!!!! Who even plays these games!? Yes more sing along with Disney characters! Disney Characters are so cool! They aren't annoying at all. When I think rpg I totally am like "How could i play a rpg with the little mermaid in it?! These games suck and the latest ones star emo kids in a disney world. It sucks that square enix has gone down the tubes as of late.

While I should be happy that they are releasing not one, but three Kingdom Hearts games, I'm pretty disappointed in Square. It took them this long to get to the conceptual stages of KH III? Really? And they thought that throwing out spin-offs/hand-held titles would make up for putting off the one game that everyone has been waiting for since KH 2 came out?

All I can say is, it's about time.

I hope plenty of your pockets go deep to buy them all. I'm more partial to the Console versions, never bought a portable one. I will get a new one if it hits the PS3, and read a synopsis of the others. Too many games to play to think about three KH games. At least they won't be back to back.

Man COM sucked. Even the ps2 remake sucks but hey at least it has voice acting & cutscenes & its 3D.

I have 1,2,358/2 days,remake ps3 COM, owned the original COM (but lost it).

Prolly gonna get bbs used since the wallet is tight & pick up a used psp.

I honestly dont care if they make a million KH games. I wabt em all!

If they use the engine from FFXIII and use the action battle in KH1 & 2(with new features and improvements of course)then they got something to work from and will drasticly shorten time till release. FFXIII visuals are stunning on PS3 and can only imagine the improvements KH3 will bring.

After playing through all the current availible KH series BBS-KH coded (keep in mind this is just a possibility) I wont spoil what happens but I realized that the keyblade war and the mystery's of what happend during that time is a possible installment to Nomura's "The other title is planned for 2011 or beyond and is said to feature multiple main characters." Allow me to explain why I think this is a possible loop hole for Nomura to continue the KH Saga even further.While I was playing 358/2 I noticed Ventus was already mentioned foreshadowing what happend to braig. It was as if Nomura already planned the whole saga out. each and every one of the KH Games leaves a opening for another installment. For instance since the key blade wars was never fully shown or explained in details what happend in BBS. It was only given a brief explanation of what happend. So Nomura's "2011" Release could be another Prequel before KH:BBS After all... it all began with "The Key Blade Wars" as Xehanort said
