The Sims are bustin' out again - EA has announced that the gibber-talking, Simoleon-earning, Woohoo-making sims of The Sims 3 are heading to the consoles and the handhelds.

 

So far, the publisher has posted the info along with its quarterly financials, labeled as "The Sims 3 on Console Title" and scheduled for a Q3 release. EA notes that the game will be coming both consoles and handhelds, although they didn't specify which ones exactly, or if it's skipping on any of the current platforms.

sims on console might still be fun, but nowhere near the quality of the pc version. maybe EA will change that this time around?

i hope that if its coming on psp, its like sims 2 pets but with adhoc neighbor visit, customization like pc version, and i guess the whole sims 2 thing. i just want it to have alot more than the ipod touch version.

The console versions of the Sims never came NEAR the PC versions. Some of them barely have anything in common with the PC ones. You get missions and stuff and only have one character...
That's why I never liked console Sims...

not because of the story or the gameplay, but because of the 2 player. that and i was 10 years old so locking them in rooms and deciding how to them kill was fun.

Well, Sims 3 coming to consoles and handhelds is good for people who don't have a PC or don't have a PC powerful to play Sims 3.

I own Sims for PS2, URBZ: Sims In The City (XBOX), Sims 2 for PC (along with several expansions) and Sims 3/ World Adventures for PC.

The console versions are ok but the PC version are much better because you can download new characters, props, etc.

It's been 2 years since sims 3 came out and there are tonnes of new expansion packs for the sims 3 on the pc. When is the psp version coming out?
