flyinghamster01Okay, let's step back for a while from all those heavyweight news items courtesy of Black Ops, Kinect and GT5. Let's go for something more light -- enough for it to fly. Like The Flying Hamster.

It's a PSN game from The Game Atelier and it's slated to come out Sony's online service on December 7th. It's a downloadable "mini", meaning you can get it whether you're playing on the PSP or the PS3. The terribly cute scroll 'em up has you helping Newton (the hamster) in rescuing his girlfriend from menacing villains, like aliens and owls that can shoot right through you with their laser eyes.

Atelier is also launching a dev blog for it sometime this week, so watch out for that. The Flying Hamster is priced at US$ 5.99 for the North American PSN.
