TGS 2010: Shadows of the Damned announced

Electronic Arts and legendary Japanese developer Grasshopper Manufacture has unveiled Shadows of the Damned, an all-new psychological action thriller title from Suda51 and Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami.

According to the press release sent out by the company, the game "follows a demon hunter deep into a hyper-twisted re-imagining of hell where he must rescue the love of his life by defeating the armies of darkness with the power of the light."

Shadows of the Damned is scheduled for release in the summer of 2011 on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

No, you do judge a game by it's play style, it's one of the few things you DO judge a game by; gameplay.
Another thing you judge is it's style/art direction, and this game doesn't have an art style that scares me.

Flashing lights, rock music, motorbikes and glowing monsters wont scare me, sorry.

Dead Space? Give me Silent Hill 2.
Dead Space frightens (it does it well, might I add), but not scares. Something that western horror does too much; make loud bangs and monster pop outs and makes you jump, but not scare.

This game has followed that trend, judging by this trailer.

I'm disappointed, because the team behind it has such an amazing track record for psychological horrors.
