Shortly after dishing out the dirt of the Casino DLC via a trailer, Eden Games have finally announced an official release date for Test Drive Unlimited 2. The game, which missed its original September 2010 release window, is now on track for a February 8, 2011, release in North America.
The Casino DLC has also been confirmed to be a GameStop pre-order exclusive. Here's a list of pre-order freebies exclusive to other retailers:
- Atari.com - Ford Shelby GT 500
- Best Buy - Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black special edition and Carbon Black avatar apparel. Best Buy Reward Zone members also receive a significant bonus in reward zone points.
- Direct2Drive - Jaguar XKR with Speed Pack and Black Pack and an exclusive avatar shirt
- K-mart - Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
- Steam - Pagani Zonda Tricolore
- Walmart.com - Bugati Veyron Supersport 2010

Anyways, you missed Amazon's preorder. It doesn't have a car, but it is a $10 video game credit which is better than getting any car. Though I'm still thinking of canceling the preorder and getting the Gamestop preorder for the Casino. I hate DLC but I'm a sucker for gambling.
According to Amazon I've had TDU2 preorder since May 09, 2010. No Duke Nukem Forever but a decent amount of time. I've been waiting for this game for a long time ever since it was announced years ago that it was in development.
