There's nothing quite like inflicting unfettered violence on digital monsters while a pounding metal soundtrack plays in the background. Splatterhouse has both in spades.
The official Splatterhouse soundtrack, detailed today by publisher Namco Bandai, contains a total of fourteen songs from some of the biggest names in metal. Here's the full track list:
- The Accused – “Pounding Nails”
- ASG – “Dream Song”
- Cavalera Conspiracy – “Must Kill”
- 5 Finger Death Punch – “Dying Breed”
- Goatwhore – “Apocalyptic Havok”
- The Haunted – “Hollow Ground”
- High On Fire - “Fire, Flood & Plague”
- Invisible Enemies – “Dead Eyes”
- Lamb of God – “Walk With Me in Hell”
- Mastodon – “Blood and Thunder”
- Municipal Waste – “Rigorous Vengeance”
- Mutant Supremacy – “Morbid Dismemberment”
- Terrorizer – “Dead Shall Rise”
- WolfShirt – “Headlong Into Monsters”
Splatterhouse will start slathering PS3s and Xbox 360s with blood and gore on November 26.

And are you fucking kidding me? Red? Disturbed? Red's a freakin christian "metal" band and Disturbed is alright, but not exactly real metal.

PS3 only some games allow custom music, there's a list of the games that allow it but seriously it's more than time to add, that feature already.
EA's much better now and I don't think they would give a rats ass if $ony would add custom soundtrack and cross chat gaming to the firmware.

So they admittedly made a couple of un-metal albums during the mid '90s, but when they brought it, they delivered the goods. They specifically melt speakers on 1992's 'Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance' and 2000's 'Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm,' where their intriguing blend of Voivod-schooled thrash and neo-classical guitar pyrotechnics rule the proceedings. Metal Blade's Brian Slagel also loved Tourniquet and released some of their most beloved works.

As I Lay Dying
One of the most popular Christian metal acts around today, As I Lay Dying has come a long way from their scrappy beginnings. Like Zao, they initially played an uninspired form of metalcore, but as their playing chops got sharper, so did their whole game. Fronted by founding member Tim Lambesis, AILD have thrown in melodic death metal flourishes to their sound, but it's their songwriting that makes them worth your money and attention. 2007's 'An Ocean Between Us' found them fighting fit and armed with some of the best songs they've ever put down on tape.

14 songs aren't enough. There needs to be some Arch Enemy, Kalmah, Satyricon, Behemoth, and most definitely Cannibal Corpse!!
