Spike TV VGAs 2010 to have a legendary host

barney Hosting a video game awards night requires talent, wit, and generous helpings of awesomeness. Last year's Spike VGAs didn't exactly have a host to suit-up and display all those qualities, which is why things will be different this year. How different? It's going to be legen - wait for it - dary.

Yes, the 2010 Spike TV Video Game Awards will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, also known as Barney Stinson, or Doogie Howser M.D.

Spike TV didn't say how they met your host, but they did mention that Harris will be accompanied by a number of guest celebs, such as Danny Devito, Kaitlin Olson, and Guillermo del Torro. Nathan Fillion will also be there, hopefully to announce that he's assuming the role of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie.

Viewers will also be treated to a performance by My Chemical Romance.

Maybe NPH can bring some fun into the Spkie VGAs? Challenge apparently accepted.
