Sony's Playview is a digital strategy guide service

When Sony trademarked "Playview" four months ago, they indicated that it would involve reading materials for video games. The succeeding announcement didn't come at E3 2010, so the trademark's mystery gets unraveled just now. Playview is actually a digital strategy guide service.

For a fee, you may download official strategy guides and game info for all supported games. A sample of the feature includes Monster Freedom Unite, the enemy info and kill strategies in which will cost about 600 (about US$ 8).

Playview, however, is limited for viewing on a PS3 only. We may be able to get PSP compatibility down the line, but I guess we'll cross the bridge when we get there.

So is this a digital copy of the strategy guides we could buy in the stores? If so, large games this maybe helpful for us wanting to do absolutely everything in the games. But I wonder if you can access this using the xmb while in game. That would be helpful. I never usually buy strategy guides anyhow, but for the price and if it works right, I would consider it on certain titles.

It may work if they do it right, there are some things that must be considered:

1. should be able to be accessed in game and off game, anything else is a sure fail.

2. contents must be updatable and also it should allow the user to add info to it.

3. It must have interactive content, text and images wont cut it anymore.

Sorry but I rather hear helpful tips that's free on XBL and yes people its a sexy woman backing you up if your stuck in a tough game! Sony a complete joke!
They want you to pay for that?.Forget it!
If Sony had something like XBL live thing's would be so much better.
