Skate

It's been more than two years since EA launched the first Skate. Skate 2 has since been released and a third game in the series is coming. If you're still playing the first one, you might as well get as much use of the Reel service as you can. EA has announced plans to shut down its servers next month.

Here's the announcement posted on the official Skate website:

Servers for the skate.Reel feature will be shut down on March 1st, 2010. After this date, you may continue to play the game online but no longer able to capture video clips and upload them to the skate.Reel galleries, both in-game and on the skate website.

All of us at EA would like to thank you for your valued participation in our online gaming community and hope that your enthusiasm for Skate extends to Skate 2 and the upcoming Skate 3.

They should equip games with the ability to host multiplayer from the console. Like, the company or whomever will host the servers, but after their lifespan ends the games can continue on.

Except that this isn't about PC, so no one really gives a damn about what you just said.
