Shinji Mikami now making his last game |

Shinji Mikami is the genius behind Resident Evil, and more recently, Vanquish. But as good as he is at what he does, he's about to take a step back from video game development and into more administrative duties. In an interview with 1UP, the famed director and producer revealed that he's just one more game in the works.
That game is the one coming after he's done with Shadows of the Damned. His studio, Tango Gameworks, will be developing the game, while Bethesda will be taking care of publishing.
"That's something I was planning for from the start," Mikami said. "I can only last for so long handling both director and company president duties, and besides, I want to give our younger developers a chance. Knowing that, of course, makes me want to put all of my experience, my energy, and everything else I've got into this game."
No word on what this last hurrah will be like, but we might learn more when Shadow of the Damned nears its release next year.

I liked RE and Vanquish. Hope he's happy and successful wherever he goes now (and if he makes a comeback, hope it'll be an inspired one).
Let's expect this last game is just as good and not spoiled by the ones who'll be publishing it (bethesda) because of deadlines, as they are sadly famous for releasing unfinished games and not supporting them properly after (e.g. fallout 3 and oblivion on their console versions), or games that are so bad that they deserve a place in the top worst in videogame history (e.g. wet, rogue warrior).
