Shadows of the Damned was originally set to come out to the PC and Wii as well

Did you know that Grasshopper Manufacture's new game for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Shadows of the Damned, was also supposed to be released for the PC and Wii? That's what Goichi Suda (Suda 51) revealed himself in a recent TGS interview.

However, the famed developer said he couldn't really divulge the reasons why they did not push through with that plan. What he did reveal, however, was that Shadows of the Damned was also originally supposed to be a horror title. Somewhere along its two-year development, however, it just naturally transitioned to be a much better action game.

"As we developed the game, we found that it would be a lot better with action elements. Garcia, the character, is very strong and cool, so we thought we should probably switch to become more of an action game."

Shadows of the Damned is slated for a Summer 2011 release only for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Check out the announcement trailer below in case you missed it the first time around.

No it wasn't. They fucking lied. They new from the beginning they wanted PS3/360 for this. I bet they just used the Wii name in the beginning so that they won't get hated on by the Wii crowd saying how come you guys aren't supporting the Wii. So out comes the cat with its BS saying now scratching just the 360/PS3 with love. Looking how RE4 turned out on the GC and would have looked way better on the Wii if they upped the graphics means that their game can stand up on the Wii. I think these years of gaming that developers are getting smart on playing around with the consumers mind on what fits and what doesn't. I think the Wii is powerful and think Nintendo is not letting 3rd parties know that the Wii has a secret update in it to compete with the big boys. But it would be awesome if Nintendo announce that Wii2 was already out and that we just Nintendo to update it with their secret firmware to unlock it?......(sec's later.....I wake up from this dream and find myself saying BS! lol)
