It looks like Sony's Move controller is doing pretty well in Europe. According to SCEE boss Andrew House, the motion controller has seen “very significant sales" in the first month since launch.

"The initial sales response has been so far in excess of our initial plan that we’ll probably be looking at accelerating production,” House told Bloomberg.com. House estimates that Move has so far sold "somewhere in the region of 1.5 million units for the new controller across just Europe."

It may be a different story in the U.S. however. SCEA has yet to release official figures, but analyst Michael Pachter estimates Move sales in the U.S. as just around the 300,000 mark including bundles. Pachter still believes, though, that Move and Kinect will play big roles in pushing console sales during the holiday season.

That's a big difference. Then again, Europe is a bigger market.

Not that again.

Look back as PS2 times, it was already in development.

But Nintendo won the race by being the first to release a successful motion controller.

It already existed before but it had no support at all.

I went out and grabbed one. The best buy in my area were sold out of the ps3 move bundles. It's pretty fun and accurate more than the wii in my opinion.

I believe this has more to do with the pricing and bundle strategy backfiring in the United States.

I mean, in the USA, when you want a move, you gotta shell out 100 bucks for the kit because they force you to get sports champions, which you might not want to buy cause it's a forgettable launch title.

In Europe, the starter pack comes with no game, only a demo disk, and they charge 50 euros for it... Which is a bargain considering it turns your PS3 into a more precise and HD-enabled Wii-Clone... That and you get a webcam / microphone for PS3 and that can be used for your PC with the proper drivers. And you get a coupon to get sports chamion for 20 euros if you feel so inclined.

i just want to state sports champion is the only decent game for the ps3 move.
