Rock Band might get some J-Rock tracks

The Japanese version of Rock Band may be pretty much dead but fans of Japanese music may still get some of their favorite songs as DLC.

 

Harmonix has reportedly asked J-Rock fansite JRockRevoultion for help to see which bands would make good additions to the game. After three weeks of polling, the site showed the following results:

 

  1. the GazettE
  2. Dir en grey
  3. X JAPAN
  4. MIYAVI
  5. GACKT
  6. An Café
  7. D’espairsRay
  8. Nightmare
  9. L’Arc~en~Ciel
  10. Versailles ~Philharmonic Quintent~

 

Harmonix has yet to announce whether or not this will become a reality, but it's definitely something fans of the above bands could get psyched about.

Gazette and Diru are the best and most obvious top 2 choices but Miyavi should be just after Diru and Gackt?!

J-Rock on Rock Band would be awesome. Hopefully if it comes, it won't just be exclusive to RB3, and will be on RB2 as well as DLC. I'd also like to see some Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

I love all these bands, but have Despararis would be REALLY AWESOME. Besides I can mimic those vocals nearly perfectly

Next step is to put some of the music used in anime as DLC. I may not be the biggest J-rock fan, but stuff from popular action anime seems like an obvious choice. You'd get the fans of the anime and the fans of the band downloading. Can't wait for whatever they decide to release.
