Resident Evil: Revelations is one of the many marquee titles for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS. Capcom say it's still a long way off, but there is something for gamers to fill the gap with: Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
As can be gleaned from the title, The Mercenaries 3D takes its queue from the Mercenaries mode found in the past three Resident Evil games, moving from an unlockable mode to a full-fledged game.
In an interview with Famitsu, director Kazuhisa Inoue explained that the controls will remain largely the same but gamers will be able to move while firing. The game will automatically switch to first-person mode when you fire. You can also play the entire game as an FPS.
Touch-screen controls haven't been detailed yet but Capcom are making sure to utilize it.
