Get ready to conquer Mars once again as THQ has finally pinned down the release date of Red Faction: Armageddon, the fourth installment of the action-packed destruction-centric series, developed by the folks at Volition Inc.

Previously slated to arrive in Spring 2011, THQ has now announced the official release date of the game. So mark your calendar folks as the invasion in the red planet has now been set - the date, May 31st. The platform, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
"Red Faction: Armageddon is an incredible new entry in this vaunted franchise, and Volition once again pushes the envelope of technology and science fiction," said Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President, Core Games, THQ. "Come May 31, players can look forward to collapsing entire buildings on their enemies, using the world as their weapon."

It was a great adventure set on Mars, and the fact that was sort of free roaming and you could destroy almost everything, made for a great experience.
The story was pretty good too, I felt motivated to keep playing for a free Mars ! I'm definitely looking forward to this, and hopefully the PC version will be better optimized this time around.
