Red Dead Redemption moves half a million units in NA on day one

This bit of news shouldn't really be surprising at all, considering how well Red Dead Redemption's been performing on Amazon's Best Seller list. Still, it's comforting to find corroboration in its numbers. According to the preliminary data released by Rockstar, the wild west video game moved some 550,000 units in day one in the US alone.

This number of units sold is definitely just the beginning of high-rolling success for Rockstar as the game's just set to launch in Europe tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be received there just as it was in North America.

Your article is listed as "RDR moves 1/2mill in NA" and in the first paragraph you use the term "United States" and at the bottom "North America" ... so which is it?

North America is built up of more than just USA and singling out USA as the whole of North America is an insult. Both Canada and Mexico share the name with USA, so get your s*** straight.

You wouldn't be too pleased to hear the name "Europe" or "United Kingdom" to refer to the entire area west of the Asian territories like many a foolish North American likes group them. Or someone refer to any Asian as "Chinese". Single difference is most who make those (dumb) mistakes don't work for a professional service where they report news on a blog.

I believe correctly addressing locations of the world should be as important as grammar.

Nobody cares about Canadians or Mexicans, silly goose. There is only US. Besides, Canadians are too gay to care about a wild west game, and Mexicans would only be reminded of all the land their stupid ancestors missed out on. Safe to say, it was mostly Americans buying the 550,000 copies.
