Quantic Dream working on new tech, no project called Horizon in development |

David Cage isn't satisfied with Heavy Rain. It's not just the fact that they had to drop their episodic DLC plans, but also the technology that the game runs on. That's not to say that he's not proud of the final product. He just wants to take things to a whole new level.
"Most of the team currently works on the next generation of technology and future concepts, said the Quantic Dream boss in an interview with Eurogamer. "We plan to significantly improve the technology compared to Heavy Rain, continue to take risks and explore new grounds.
"Many people wondered why we were not 'milking the cow' after the success of Heavy Rain - why we were not creating a sequel for next Christmas. It may sound weird from the outside, but this is really not how I see my company. We genuinely try to be pioneers for this medium and discover new possibilities, which means taking more risks and not always giving people what they expect.
"It also means having creative freedom and going every day to the office with a big smile thinking you are really lucky to do what you do, and being proud of your games," said Cage.
So, aside from new tech, what are they working on right now? There was talk of someting called Horizon a while back, but Cage says it's just a load of hogwash but he does like the concept.
"I don't know where this information comes from but there is no project called Horizon featuring a couple in a science-fiction world currently in development at Quantic Dream," confirmed Cage. "Though if the script is available it sounds like a good idea."

100% Agree.
That is a really good thing too. Seeing as their games are always a step in a new direction. It may not always work, but they are gutsy and when a developer takes chances they are usually rewarded for their efforts.
