The Monster Hunter franchise is huge in Japan, so it comes as no surprise to see even the Monster Hunter spin-off, Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Ailu Village topping the charts. And thanks mainly to the games strong opening week, which also introduced a new hardware bundle, the PSP has once again climbed back on top of the Japanese hardware chart.
As compiled by Media Create, here's the complete breakdown of the Japanese hardware sales, on the week ending August 29 (previous week):
- PSP – 55,112 (27,554)
- PS3 – 25,053 (29,433)
- DSi LL - 19,010 (21,179)
- DSi – 17,057 (20,030)
- Wii – 15,989 (18,145)
- DS Lite – 3,925 (4,012)

Sony release PSP-4000 with a UMD driver and I'll buy this model instead of 3000.
PSP games are cheap but people just got used to "free psp games".

I say they should do something like that but for £199 or under.
Of course the PSP2 will have b/c though... Sony have recently said online-only isn't going to work.
