The PlayStation Network has quite a number of PSOne Classics in its archive, some of which may have already found their way into your PS3 or your PSP. Unfortunately, the classics that you already purchased from the PlayStation Store will have to be purchased again if you want to have them on the Xperia Play.

The newly-announced Sony Ericsson PlayStation-certified smart phone is perfectly capable of running PSOne games. In fact, it comes preloaded with a "legendary" game from the system, namely Crash Bandicoot. Unfortunately, you won't be able to move the purchased games from your PS3 or PSP over to the Xperia Play.

True, but the solution is pretty simple IMO.
Just dont buy it!
Dont support crap by buying it!
Dont be like the the nimrods who keep buying activision garbage and who have now enabled craptivision to go on buying spree's and simply buy out and degrade better products from smaller better competition.
Just dont do it for everybodies sake!
And then guess what?!
You'll have a pocketful of cash left over spend on something nice that actually deserves support, like the PSP2.

Selling one game twice to the same customer?
They are gonna be the victims of they own success.
Many people will just use pirate versions.
Sony is trying reversed piracy? ;p

To defend Sony I'd say that Ericson is a completely different department so I guess the PSN...seriously why would anyone want to play PS1 games on your phone? Just save up for the NGP.

Also, How can Sony Ericsson be completely separate from Sony? They share the Sony name.

Regardless of the the products name or company unit, Sony as a corporation has an obvious interest in this product /service success. They should offer PSN users with ps1 games in their shopping history, one off vouchers to be used for a 75% discount on PlayStation. Suite Ala xperia play ps1 games.
This way the fans should be happy and your existing customer will help promote the new system.
