Listed in: PS3, PC Gaming Tags: portal 2, valve

So what's in store for the PlayStation 3 version of Portal 2 aside from Steamworks? Well how about cross platform play. Yes folks! Valve has confirmed that the upcoming sci-fi puzzler will also allow PS3 gamers to face off against PC and Mac users.
But that's not all, along with the cross platform gaming through Steamworks, it will also include cloud-based saved game storage, cross platform chat and a free SteamPlay version of the game for PC and Mac.
"We made a promise to gamers at E3 that Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 would be the best console version of the product," said Gabe Newell, co-founder and president of Valve. "Working together with Sony we have identified a set of features we believe are very compelling to gamers.
Newell adds, "we hope to expand upon the foundation being laid in Portal 2 with more Steam features and functionality in DLC and future content releases."
No word yet if the Xbox 360 version of the game will also include these features.

3rd person and 1st person shooters just feel so much better on console, but then RTS and RPG games seem better on PC, IMO.
