Bad news folks, Valve has pushed back the release of the highly anticipated FPS-puzzler sequel, Portal 2, once again. Fortunately, it's not a huge delay.
According to Valve, Portal 2 is now slated to arrive in North America and Australia on April 20 and on April 22 in Europe. The original press release stated that the game would be pushed to "the week of April 18" but when contacted by Shacknews, a Valve represented clarified the dates and said, "We say the week of April 18 because it will be different days depending on where you live, due to retailer "new release" days." Valve says more release dates and info will be released as we get closer to launch.
Valve also noted, "this two month slip not only marks the shortest delay in Valve's proud tradition of delays, it represents the approaching convergence of Valve Time and Real Time. Though this convergence spells doom for humanity, it will not affect the new Portal 2 release date."
Previously, the game was scheduled to arrive February 2011 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac.
