Pokemon Black and White maintains lead in Japan

pokemonbw-04 So who's big this week in the Land of the Rising sun? Well we got the numbers, and it looks like there's no stopping the Pokemon fever. Despite some new contenders charting this week, Nintendo's Pokemon Black and White maintained its lead on top of the Japanese software sales charts.

According to Media Create, the ever popular DS duo moved another 374,589 units this week, with Sega's latest anime based rhythm title K-On! After School Live!! debuting on second spot with 170,848 units sold in its first week and Capcom's long awaited DS sequel, Okamiden, taking the third spot.

Here's the Japanese software chart, for the week ending october 3:

Pokemon Black / White (Pokemon Co.) - NDS – 374,589
K-On! After School Live!! (Sega) - PSP – 170,848 / NEW
Okamiden (Capcom) – NDS – 84,472 / NEW
Eiyuu Densetsu: Zero no Kiseki (Nihon Falcom) – PSP – 84,360 / NEW

Not really.

Pokémon was good in the past, but now it's all about the same thing, quite repetitive.

Dragon Ball Tenkaichi Tag Team is a new DB game for PSP which hasn't got in years.

And I prefer DB over Pokémon. Got bored with Pokémon seeing it has infinite seasons without an ending.

Dragon Ball series ended, Pokémon is STILL running.

Well thats nice to see K-On! After School Live!! doing PSP sales some good.

Unfortunately I dont imagine it doing much for me.

In fact its kind of interesting that although NDS has 2 of the top 3, PSP has the #2 and 5 spots in the top 10 to NDS's 2 spots.

Thats not so bad IMO.
A respectable showing.
