PlayStation Phone to launch this Spring? |
Listed in: PSP, PS3 Tags: playstation phone, Sony Ericsson
The rumor mill has been pretty active, but Sony has mostly been mum on the subject of the PlayStation Phone. That, however, hasn't stopped news from claiming that the elusive device is indeed coming out next year.
The PlayStation Phone, codenamed the Zeus Z1, has long been the subject of rumor. Videos, images and a few specs have surfaced all over the interwebs, but Sony still refuses to comment on the matter. Earlier this month, a source close to the project claimed that Sony Ericsson intends to launch it March this year.
That perfectly coincides with news from Japan's Asahi Shimbun, which earlier reported that the PlayStation Phone will be launched March 2011 in Japan and the West.
The Zeus Z1 PlayStation Phone is said to be equipped with 512MB RAM, 8GB microSD card, an ARM processor and a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
Again, Sony has yet to make any comment on the matter. Then again, you might want to ready some cash for March in case this all turns out to be real.

They are already working on controllers for current phones so....the PSPhone wont have much of a point. There needs to be more surrounding it.

They'll figure out a way to fuck it up I'm sure.
In fact it kinda just looks like a stupid idea already IMO.
Maybe it will be surprisingly relevant by the time it comes out.
