Head's up folks, SCEE has announced that the PlayStation Network will undergo a routine maintenance on Monday, August 30. According to the post, the PSN will be down from 8:00AM to 9:00PM BST.
"During this time you will not be able to access PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home or any part of Account Management, such as your Download List."
But the good news, you can still play online games and access the official PlayStation forums during the said maintenace.

So you are saying that I shouldn't be able to share my DLC/games with my son and daughter on their PS3s, because some other people may abuse the option to gameshare.
I disagree, and say that gamesharing adds value to the PSN store.
I buy more games for the PS3 than the 360 specifically because I can share the DLC with my family.

It isn't something to "fix".

Monday is a bank holiday in the UK, the relaxing equivalent to Independence Day or Thanksgiving in the US but without the events. People just sit back and do nothing! More people work on frikkin Christmas day than a Bank holiday.
Such a moronic thing to do. Sony = they really don't get it. Protip: you do it on Tuesday when everyone is back in work. Geez!

I hope XBLA and the Virtual Console/Wiiware stores are ready! Time for a big splash.

do you see what youre doing here?? you know it's going to rain on monday so you're deciding to stay in. you know that psn is going to be down monday and youre being a whiny bitch..i dont know why you're having such a hard time with this..

Just sucks for Sony that they decided to do this on a bank holiday Monday in the UK, they've lost money.

SONY won't perform maintenance on Tuesday, it is the weekly store update.
Also, I thought the summer bank holiday was the first Monday in August not the last Monday, I must be thinking of Scotland or Ireland.

I guess the bank holiday will be a good time to buy all those XBLA games I've been too busy to play instead.

god, stupid people..

But hell it's not my problem. We all got bonuses at work last week so Microsoft and Nintendo better be prepared for a lot of money! Seriously I haven't bought from either server (or PSN) in months so theres a backlog of titles to buy on my day off.

wow for an adult you're still pretty dumb. you do know you can download and still not be on your ps3 right? god, spend that bonus on a gun then shoot yourself. we need less stupid people. kthxbi

I have (had) money. I wanted to buy games on my only day off. It doesn't matter if I can or can't download games - I can't buy games. There is the problem. Nothing to do with if I can or can't be around my PS3 whilst they download.
Also I lol at the "dumb" comment, you're the one who seems to have anger problems (which is commonly linked to low intelligence) and can't see the problem presented here.

if you're not a kid ... then stop acting like one

If wanting them to be open on a holiday is being "a kid" then you've just called some very well respected studios "kids".

why if it's so important for you , you didn't buy your games during last week-end ... why wait on a monday .... easy because you just want to bash against sony

LOL I know what you mean. If one thing isn't working cause they are doing maintenaces, everyone complains. People are never happy.
At least we can still game online, and that was one of the most important things that people would get upset about, now they fix that and people are still upset.

Sony are sorting out PSN people. Grsnted, the work there doing probably won't affect or improve the service we already have but at least there doing something with it.
