PlayStation 2 celebrates tenth year anniversary in the US |
Listed in: PSP, PS3 Tags: PS2, SCEA, Sony
Ten years ago today, the PlayStation 2 was officially launched in North America. It went on to sell 145 million units worldwide as of June 30th this year, bringing countless names into the gaming hall of fame in the process, God of War and Killzone among them. To this day the PS2 continues to ring up decent sales for its age, and Sony is only too happy about this milestone.
Strictly speaking, the PS2 celebrated its tenth birthday on March 4th, the day it was first launched in Japan ten years ago. Still, today is a special day for SCEA and the millions of gamers that enjoyed countless sit-downs with the console.
A PS2 bundle with the Toy Story 3 video game will be available by October 31st to remind us all to love our old toys.

Can an NES compete with a PS3? No. Which games are better? NES (retro choice).
You see, better graphics and hardware doesn't always mean games will be better.

Even though DMS could do more it was a shitty culture and a wonky chip.
I always had problems with the last DMS chips, like a lot of people.
I've had a few Matrix', and they all worked like a charm everytime.
But unfortunately never developing HDD boot or code injection.
