Patch to improve ModNation Racers load times to arrive post-launch

mr2 Early reviews of ModNation Racers, such as the one from Joystiq, have revealed that the game has pretty lengthy load times that ruin the fun. SCEA is already aware of the problem, which is why they're patching it up after the game launches.

Chuck Lacson, SCEA associate marketing manager, said that developer United Front Games is "looking into further optimizing the game via a post-launch patch."

The PS3 demo is scheduled to hit the PlayStation Store on May 18th, while the full game launches May 25th for the US and the 21st for the UK.

I remember they did that for the original Motorstorm too. The vehicle select screen took awhile to load. After the patch, they made it faster but changed the screen a lot. I hope they go the route of having a way to partial install the game so the hard drive and disc load portions at the same time to cut load times.

umd's are the best thing to happen to portable gaming.

Memory Sticks/SD Cards are the best thing to happen to portable gaming, UMDs we not fast at all.
