Online co-op support finally coming to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Crystal Dynamics has finally pinned down the release date of the much delayed online co-op patch for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, the hit downloadable platformer that features our favorite tomb raiding vixen without the Tomb Raider name.

According to a twitter post by developers Crystal Dynamics, the long awaited patch that adds online co-op to the platformer will arrive on October 27. Unfortunately, this will only be available to the Xbox 360 version of the game, with players on both the PS3 and PC will have to wait a bit longer for the update.

I've played it with a friend - and it's fantastic. I mean, it feels like Tomb Raider despite the perspective, it looks good - and the gameplay mechanics are just rock-solid. It's amazing how many ways they found to have the two players interact (Totec climing on Laras rope, Lara using Totecs spears etc).

Great fun! Looking forward to some online coop!
