Nomura to make Kingdom Hearts III a reality 'as quickly as possible'

Here's some good news for all the Kingdom Hearts fans out there. Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura has heard your calls for Kingdom Hearts III.

"Concerning Kingdom Hearts III, since there is demand from the current fans around the world, I will do my best to bring it into realization as quickly as possible," Nomura told Famitsu in a special feature honoring Sora as the fifth most popular character in a readers' poll.

Nomura also mentioned a secret movie found in Birth By Sleep that hints at Sora's re-entry into the series and urged fans to look forward to the character's future activities. Nomura declined to give out more details, however, saying only that he "can’t say what kind of title it might become".

If this were a PS3 exclusive that took advantage of the space of a blu ray and the power of the Playstation, I think it would be nothing short of amazing.

It probably will since Nomura had been making ffvsxiii and the engine is done and fully optimized for ps3. Remember they were aiming for advent children graphics and they will!!!
After it we will see kingdom hearts 3

multi platform games make more money, on top of that Microsoft is notorious for paying a ton of money to turn an exclusive multiplat or to secure their own exclusives.

Yup. Most likely. They're taking forever with FFvsXIII and it's probably going to be the same for KH3. I hope the next Kingdom Hearts is the last because the story isn't getting any better.

It took long cause it was made for the 360 and the PC, if this game is only design for the PS3 then you can cut that down to 2 years probably.

cos' NDS has Kingdom Hearts as well, we'll never know if it is ported out for other consoles as well since KH franchise to Sony and Nintendo. Who knows later when it come to shore, is for the 'next-gen' consoles. Something like MGS Rising?

there's no way they're gonna make the graphics realistic.

try imaging ffxiii and some disney characters in one game. doesn't really do, right? the advent children graphics would look great on KH but the detail? nah. what to expect: graphics close to KH2's CGI. now that would be epic.

I see a high chance of this coming to Wii instead of PS3. Looking at Square-Enix at the moment, they heavily go where the money flows, which is the Wii at the moment. Add that with the fact that Disney is also included in the work and the chances skyrocket.

On the other hand though, this is Nomura's baby, and he's clearly on Sony's site.

I don't really like the DS-Versions... And Kindom Hearts was my favourite game (with god of war) on the PS2! Can't wait for this game

(and they better make it an exclusive-.- I want the full expieriance. and you only get that with an exclusive imo)

Please don't spoil the game by making it for the 360 or any other consoles beside the PS3.

We want a game thats designed and made to its best potential. Not some multi-platformed game thats so-so. It'll be a disgrace a great work of art thats been loved by so many.

Kingdom Hearts has always been ps exclusive, and I refuse to buy it otherwise as the 360 or Wii has very troublesome limitations that would prevent the game from becoming worthwhile.

You seem to forget about Chain of Memories, which started on a NINTENDO system. The GBA.... Then we have, 358/2 Days. An exclusive for the DS.
