Nomura: No Versus, Agito at Gamescom, more unannounced titles to be revealed

Tetsuya Nomura is bringing a couple of his games to this month's Gamescom event, but none of them bear the Final Fantasy brand.

Nomura made the announcement via a tweet on the official The 3rd Birthday Twitter account. According to him, only The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts Re: coded will be shown at the yearly expo in Cologne.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII will presumably be shown at the Tokyo Game Show next month, but even that's not too clear as some unannounced titles are set to be revealed before the two.

"There are a number of unannounced titles," tweeted Nomura. "These will come before Agito and Versus. Some have finished voice recording. Announcements will take place in Japan."

its good that FF versus been in development for so long and yet we havent seen any real gameplay. They probably want to surprise us with something truly amazing.

Something like Gof of War 3 or GTA4. They didnt released loads of gameplay vids. Cos they really care about their product and wats to surprise us

Square has always had some of the best games. They should stop announcing and start releasing!!! We need more Square!!! And yeah, Enix can come along too.

square and enix were once incredible gaming companies (made possible by their employees)

Since the merger you can notice a shift in focus.
Take a look at some of the older squaresoft games and you'll know what i'm talking about.

I really have faith in nomura's work on versus. We'll have to see what happens. But if it's anything like kingdom hearts but grownup, and deep, then i'm pretty confident it'll be a great game.

to sum it up, the companies are the moneymakers, the producers like nomura or that guy from platinum studios are the people that are making things happen.

I'm guessing these unannounced titles are FF 14 (final version) and the new Lara Croft game (final version) so don't get your hopes up for anything new. I would, however, be very glad if they announce the new FF for the 3DS (FFTA3D anyone?).

I don't like SquareEnix anymore; they make their games to bring new fans and screw (screwing) the old. FF13 was bad so will VS. "It's only for ps3" Denied! We all know 360 wants a piece of that kit-kat-bar and they will get it. But thats not the problem. Don't thank Xbox!! Thank Mr. Enix!! Square-Enix! Who cant make a, decent! game anymore. If they can make FF-Vs as good as ,7,8 or10 (which they wont) I will be a fan again. SquareEnix dont care for its fans anymore (probably never did) they just want to brake a piece of that kit-kat-bar $$$CHA-CHIING!$$$

ff10 = one of their best games? LOL! that game was utter shite! (Crappy voice-acting, stupid mini-games - blitzball and titus was an idiot)

Every game they released since FF9 was crap... I'm not expecting anything good anymore from square.
I don't even want any remakes of the old games, because they would just f*ck those up for us too!

I think all the voice acting was what destroyed FF games... at least for me. All that cheesy japanese stuff just sounds really stupid if spoken aloud in english.

I just want a new Kingdom Hearts for the PS3... those games were fun.
