Nintendo sending info stations into stores

Let's face it - if you're not so much of a gamer, QJ-reading and regular checkups on the gaming news may not be among your daily to-do list. Perhaps not even monthly. Nintendo understands that little reality and decides to put a little more contact into their consuimer contact point. They're sending info stations into stores in Japan to help would-be buyers with info and trailers about their prospecitve Wii and DS game purchases.

With a single swipe of the product into the code reader, the kiosks will display all the need-to-know bits of info on the game, as well as provide trailers to show the game in action. These info stations also double as a source of stats, where buyers would be able to check out data provided by Media Create.

Naturally, these gizmos aren't the type to hit every store in Japan. Expect to see these kiosks only at the major stores in Tokyo come 2010.

i like. i've seen a lot of retailer staff that didn't know what they were talking about, so having stuff like these will help people out a lot

not at the risk of sounding stupid (not sure if it's a national company or local), but FYE stores (sells music and games and videos and whatnot) have small stations around were you put on headphones and you can like scan music and listen to a sample or watch a trailer of a video.. It'd be great if you could do that with video games, scan them and watch a trailer
