New Star Fox in the works (with video)

A fan of StarFox? Not to worry, we just might have something here to make your day. It appears that a new iteration of the franchise is in the work, and although Gamewarden has kept mum on official word about it, they've sure got a lot of good stuff in their treasure trove.

One, they partook in a Q&A session which revealed somer pertinent details:

So what’s going to be in it?
A great many things…

  • Lots of playable craft, including 3 different Arwings
  • Weapons galore
  • Enemies, both new and old
  • Space and ground based missions
  • A deep storyline
  • Multiplayer
  • And probably more!

When does the story take place?
The story takes place between Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Adventures. Yes, there is content from Assault, but there are good reasons for that.

Two, they released this video:

Don't take our word for it though. They had a lot more to say about it, so you can just check out the rest of the Q&A by following the source link.

If you'd still want to be on the safe side, fine. But it looks to me like one and two put together spells out StarFox. F-O-X. Oh, and they did say it was going to be a multiplatformer.

That rocks!

It's an indie game for the PC.

It is not a new iteration on the franchise since it is indie and you should make that clear in your article... just stupidly looking for page views.

Quoting mabie asshole:
just stupidly looking for page views.

A) Learn basic grammar and punctuation.
B) Stop being a prick and spreading around your negativeness.
C) Whether this is an Indie game or an official installment, this is still worthy to have its own post.

First off, the guy has a point, it's listed in PS3 for goodness sake, he could be looking for page views, but come on, the author of this post surely has no clue what he's doing. The title says it all. He didn't even mention it being a fan-made game, which shows to me that he author is unable to submit something written in a decent way.

Secondly, yes it's worthy of its' own post, but that doesn't mean one must neglect basic stuff such as giving it a proper title and actually trying to write something decent... it looks half-assed and looks like something a silly overjoyed fan would post on a forum.

I'm sorry if you think I'm wrong here and that I'm being unreasonable but personally, I really think the author could have done a much better job.

Sorry but did someone actually read the FAQ?

Quote: "This project is a fan made game that runs on the FreeSpace_Open engine. It is not for any console system"

It's not a console game.

Quote: Will this run on a Mac or on Linux?
The engine is cross platform, so should run on any major platform

It's not a console game, quoted twice.
I would personally suggest tweaking the tags in which this is listed as to avoid confusion...

So...let me get this straight...6 years of dev time and that's the best video they can come up with???

Not much to show for 6 years worth of work.

VERY misleading post here, QJ. I'm disappointed. This is an indie game, not official. Ya'll need to make that clear.

It's looks pretty though, I'll give it that.

Can anyone here tell me why this is on a PS3 website, a moderator of this site should answer this question. This is in NO way PS3 related. I'm sure I'll get some sort of BS response to this but how about telling me how this is PS3 related.

The article is completely off, this is a fan made project, it's indie. Plus, if I'm not correct, I believe this was canceled becauese of a cease and desist order from Nintendo. Sorry guys. It did look really cool too...
