New Rune Factory game coming to PS3 and Wii

ymir Marvelous Entertainment has a new Rune Factory on the way and it's coming to the Wii and the PS3. The new game, Rune Factory: Oceans, retains gameplay features found across the series plus a few new twists of its own. That's just the surface, you'll want to know more.

In the game, story events switch you back-and-forth between the male lead, Azel, and the female, Sofia. Worry not, Rune Factory: Oceans is still faithful to the franchise. You can still date, you can still marry, you still have real-time combat.

As the game's name might tell you, you'll be moving across oceans. You'll be doing so in style - on the back of a giant named Ymir. He's the guy holding the ship up, pictured above. Famitsu indicates that Ymir can pick up whole islands and move them to different locations, but it wasn't clear if this was through story-related events or if you could do this at any point in the game.

Rune Factory: Oceans has been dated for February 24th in Japan for the Wii and PS3, and the PS3 version will have PlayStation Move support.
